FAQs

Here is a selection of frequently asked questions which should answer the majority of issues raised. If you have a specific question please contact us:

We need a new system to manage our database and support our business, but we are not sure where to start as there seem to be so many staffing systems on the market. Could you suggest a few pointers?

Anyone looking to purchase a system needs to ensure that it meets their needs exactly, so identify these first. Many of the software systems now on offer can be partly tailored, but our flagship Bond Adapt software is still the only software on the market that can be completely configured. It is tailored to mirror the user's existing way of working, so the users don't have to fit their way of working around the system. Some systems may initially appear ideal, but they cannot be extensively changed or developed as a client's needs change or the business grows.

Ideally, companies should opt for a system that can expand to meet corporate growth or alterations to workflow requirements, rather than one that needs to be replaced when such changes occur. Adapt has the ability to be upgraded and developed countless times and each upgrade to a new version of Adapt is offered FREE to existing customers with current Adapt maintenance.

At what area of the industry is your product targeted?

Bond Adapt is fully web-enabled with comprehensive e-commerce capabilities. It is targeted at the following areas of the industry:
•  Temp/back office system
•  High Street
•  Executive search and selection
•  Specialist
•  Headhunting
•  HR/Managed services
•  Careers/Connexions
•  Increasingly, it is being used to power online job sites

What is the typical number of system users in one of your average client business customers?

Typically, 10+, although many of our customers are smaller. We have a wide range of clients and Adapt's flexibility makes it particularly effective for the company that intends to grow and needs to react quickly to change.

Is Adapt a Windows system?

Yes, Adapt is extremely user-friendly and operates on Windows NT, Windows 2000 or SCO Unix systems.

Can you interlink branches?

Yes. Bond's ability to complete global implementations successfully across multiple sites has been a significant factor in establishing Bond as the market leader in staffing software.

How sophisticated are your data transfer capabilities?

Bond's technical consultants are highly-trained and are able to transfer data from any software package to the new Adapt system. The amount/content of data to be transferred and the deadline are agreed with customers before it takes place.
Technical consultants work alongside system design consultants, who ensure that the design of the new system exactly meets a client's specification. One of the key strengths of Adapt is its unique ability to be configured as much or as little as the customer needs, so it can easily mirror an existing way of working, while streamlining and automating processes.
In line with Bond's quality assurance policy, all system design work is thoroughly tested.

Is there a limit to the size of the database?

Adapt can process virtually unlimited amounts of data. We do recommend the use of approved back-up methods. These incorporate operational, hardware and software devices such as the use of an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and Raid technology.

Is there a link to accounting systems for generation of invoicing?

Yes. Adapt integrates with all accounting systems including some that are bespoke.

E-Recruiting Questions:

What are the e-staffing capabilities of your software?

Bond has a Web-based version of Adapt, which offers users remote access to their Adapt system, from anywhere in the world. With built-in high-security measures, it means users can check records and update their diaries 24 hours a day, whatever their location.

Bond is also leading the way in configurable Internet staffing systems, as Adapt lends itself perfectly to the temporary online job market.

Bond's e-Search is a powerful Web Agent which has the ability to access thousands of candidates on the Internet, with the minimum of intervention by the consultant. It retrieves an almost unlimited number of suitable CVs from the Web, and automatically sorts and downloads the details to Adapt.

This means it is extremely user-friendly, and eliminates the need for any time-consuming sorting or inputting by the consultant. The search can also be activated while the consultant is out of the office or even overnight, saving even more time.

e-Search can also be used in conjunction with its highly-configurable sister module – Net Tools and Web recruit. For further information please contact us.

Do you use browser-based technology?

Yes, Bond's new Web-based version of Adapt is browser-based.

Can the database be linked to a client's website?

Yes, each Adapt system has the ability to be linked to a customer's website. This is particularly important for clients specialising in online staffing.
Can registration link straight to the database?

Yes, registration does link directly to the database automating the time-consuming processes previously used. CVs can be scanned in or sent via the consultant's website or email. This eliminates the need for any inputting by the consultant because details are automatically incorporated on the Adapt system.

Support Questions:

What sort of technical support can be expected?

A full range of pre and post sales support services including: comprehensive project management, hardware and software support; Helpdesk; free upgrades to the latest version of Adapt are available to existing clients with current maintenance agreements; dedicated client account managers.

What level of training can be expected post-installation?

Each new client is assigned a project manager who will oversee the implementation of their Adapt system. Part of their role is to assess the training needs of the client and to liaise with Bond's in-house training department to arrange the appropriate courses.
A comprehensive range of courses is available. We usually recommend that all new Adapt users attend a two-day course in Using Adapt to ensure that they make the most effective use of the software. Depending on their existing IT skills, we also offer complementary courses in Windows and Microsoft Word for Windows 97 or later, as Adapt users will need to have an understanding of these packages.
